|LOROLR||I would think it's going to be pretty hard to match, especially translucent where the color depends on the number of color coats. Why not get the color you want in a good epoxy paint and paint the block and engine parts together? Never been much on powder coating engine blocks or parts because of the fine grade blast residue left. Had a race pan powder coated and told the guy not to coat the inside for obvious reasons and the idiot blasted the inside anyway. Took a ton of cleaning to get the grit out. At least paint dust will desolve, the sand grit won't. Just one guy's opinion.|

paint matching powdercoating
I'd like to powder coat my engine with a translucent red but what would I do with the block. I will have a fair amount of money in this block after machine work and I don't know any powder coaters I'd trust with it. Therefore, I would rather paint it but how would you match translucent powder coating? Anyone else had similar problems?
