I agree, the Falcon definately.
As pasedena mentioned, it may have been a straight 6 OR it might have been a misprint with it having a V8!

|firstname.lastname@example.org||Old Falcons are zooming in value here in California. I'm not a Ford man but I think the Falcon is your best bet.|

The $3k you have to "spend" will very soon be gobbled up by miscellaneous expenses of two project cars.
If I needed some fun transportation I'd go with the Falcon as is and drive that little fellow for years. By the way, the car had a straight 6 engine, not a V6.
The Nova sounds like a cast-off wanna-be racecar that needs more attention than it deserves.
The 55 project, 2 or 3 years or not, is worthy of concentrating on. So, if you don't actually need transport, spend the $3k on the 55!

should I buy either of these for fun 69 nova or 64 falcon
in the local paper there is two cars for sale here is the listing:
Ford falcon '64 2dr. v6, auto, low miles,runs body redone 800obo ( i happen to have a 302 laying around)
69 nova, roll bar, line locks, fuel cell, fiberglass bumper, less motor and trans. 1,000 (also happen to have a 300hp 327 and a 3 speed)
but the downfall bought a 55 chevy, sold a 64 bug...was planning to spend all the money on my 55. but figured the car will be tied up for at least 2 year..I hope less but probably more. I found both of these cars in the paper and have about 3000,00 to spend. which one should I get if any?
