|baddbob||No durability problems and the only drawbacks is if not done properly you could see a ghost line where your seam is when there's temperature changes and also there is limited adjustability (hammer&dolly work) that you can do after the cure. Spend the time to fit it properly before bonding the parts! Often times when the car sets in the sun a faint line will appear then dissappear when it cools. There are ways to avoid this though and you should fit the panels so there's some room for a fiberglass reinforced filler over the seam. Also grind the patch panel edge to a knife edge taper and have 1" of overlap for the bondline. Go to Fusor's website for some good technical info. And with a lifetime guarantee it makes sense to use it in many situations.|

Thinking out loud about adhesives
I have never used any of the panel adhesives available today so I have a few ideas and notions that may be incorrect.
Currently on my mind is using panel adhesive in place of welding in patch panels.
I realize there will be a height difference and an edge to deal with, I am curious about durability over time of the bond in an overlap joint such as this versus being used in a pinch weld area as I have seen it used.
