I ahve purchased a body mounting pad and bolt kit from Carpenter reproductions for my 57 ford, before I torque the bolts down in the proper sequence, should I mount the from sheetmetal too to get everything aligned??
You get a varied array of answers on this, but I would want everything set before final torque. A front end can be shifted over to align with the rest of the body and no one would be the wiser looking at it, but driving down the road could make it look like it is "dog walking". The more panels you have on gives you more points to measure from to get proper alignment.
Keep in mind it has a full frame, more than shifting or pointing a front clip left or right, it would be more angling the body along on the length of the frame, obliquely.
