mocars thats what we were afraid of, was hoping that sumone could tell us a easy fix,, thought it was strange that it just happened that fast..

Crosley since the trans backs up per yur post...

that tells me the pump is working enough to move the car.

the converter is transfering power to the trans via the input shaft.

direct clutch is operating since the car backs up

No forward gears in any shifter position? = 1 , 2 , 3 ?

That makes me think there is a problem in the forward clutch pack or the roller clutch in the back of the case

no forward gears 727

74 dart sport a friend that i bracket race with, will not go into any forward gears, it just happened that fast pulled it off the trailer and no forward gears, hit the trans-brake and it backs up? thought this was strange..
any ideals?
