bry21317 Tell me about it, between 2 kids, wife and a friends boat I am also working on, and all my other normal crap to get done. I did not get a chance to mess with it, oh and don't forget te beers lol.

I will try tonight for sure, to get some readings on the voltage.

carsavvycook I was just thinking Back Probe that center wire with a long enough wire lead to go inside of your truck. Find a good ground inside, and check the MAP signal voltage while driving your truck. It should stay down around 4.0 volts at cruise, or steady throttle speeds, the same as idle.

This is when your engine is building it's most vacuum, and at your altitude, which is close to mine, it should be real close to 4.0 volts. If it does, it may just be a quirk in the software of your scan tool, showing that opposite reading from normal.

It will be very interesting to see what you have found with these tests.

carsavvycook You can back probe them with a needle, and your volt meter ground lead hooked to a good ground, set your volt meter to read 5 volts DC, and back probe the wire on the left, it should show 5 volts with the key on engine off. Then switch your volt meter to the OHM's setting, and Ohm the wire on the right to ground, it should be read 0 OHMs. Now set your meter back to volts DC, and back probe the center wire, it should read 4.5 to 5.0 volts at sea level, to 3.0 to 3.7 at 9000 to 10000 feet.

bry21317 Is there a way to probe the wires with a Voltmeter to see what its reading/showing?

I can do this if there is a way to do this. It does seem to be taking snapshots, its a Actron Scanner.

carsavvycook The numbers do look a lot better. The O'2's look like they are switching faster now. It also appears your scan tool is taking snap shots, at timed intervals. What seems odd to me, is that your MAP HG's are high when you are really getting on it, and then go low when you are cruising, and at idle. This is just opposite from every other vehicle I have scanned, and what my diagnostic information even shows for your vehicle.

This is why I am still thinking it could have a couple of wires crossed in the plug. Looking at the back side of the connector, with the locking tab up. The wire on the right side is the PCM negative, the center wire is the signal wire, and the one on the left is the PCM 5 volt reference wire.

So the 29.5 HG was with the Engine off, Key on. I got another Recording this morning, a lil longer, but the IAT seems to be way low compared to what it was doing yesterday when it was so Hot outside. It was not pinging at all, but the O2 Readings look to still be high.

this was the First Drive with the new MAP Sensor installed. I still can not find the EGR Spindle you were referring to. I looked everywhere, but crawling up under the car and looking up on the back of the block. I am not able to see any wires anywhere, on the heads that are not running to the Injectors or the coils.

carsavvycook In order to accurately test for a vacuum leak, you will need to unplug the MAP sensor, then clear the code when finished.

Your leaking water pump gasket should not effect all of your sensor readings, only the coolant temp sensor(for the computer). Coolant temp senders do not read steam.

bry21317 This was staying in 29's w key on engine off. It was running around 15 with engine in idle. I noticed my water pump is also leaking would that cause anything? Its cooling but the gasket is leaking.
