This is going to be a lot of fun ..... the art contest for October will be a Halloween Theme. Any car, any year as long as it has a Halloween Theme to it. Mark will let us know the cut off dates and when the voting will start. I'm sure everyone has a car already done that they can add a Halloween look to .... so I hope we get a lot of entries this month.
I'm happy to give anything I have for a calendar project. I once looked into making calendars for my website, but the cost of them was pretty high and I didn't feel I could sell them. But, maybe some here as a better source.
I hope to see more entries for this months contest as we are now in the middle of the month.
LOL ... i agree. I think I use her in at least one photo every year. She was at the Culver City Car Show in May, but not in costume. I wanted to take her photo, but they wanted $10.00......so I passed.
Great stuff as always guys!! Calenders actually sell pretty well as has been found out on a antique tractor site I'm on. Last year sold out quickly and this year is looking to double the order. Count me in for a calender or three if you can get it off the ground. This would be a good fund raiser for the site.

Yes, they are very good and some places actually do all the shipping and more in one place in great color and weight of paper for a decent price. I tried outsourcing and looking for some that we could get "on the cheap" but found the price was immense. The cost of custom calendars is very expensive, I used Cafe' Press and it was perfect for the needs, somewhat expensive for some peoples tastes but the maker sets the price for the basic and add's an extra amount to bring in some revenue. I personally over the years have sold thousands without a gripe from anyone except for Ford, we fxed that though, lol.
This does have to be done as I've found by thanksgiving if it will succeed. The Cafe' Press Calendars are guarantee'd to ship within a few days.
Just a reminder guys, the contest will be ending within a few days, I know everyone has something stored for this and we are still looking for some last minute entry's to get in. 57 Corvette "Bob" has a date set for the 26th at midnight, sounds scary, lol. If anyone needs more time, I'll allot for one more day if all feels it's good for the competition.
Let me know in this thread if you feel you need more time.
I was going to wait till midnight but as you guys have seen, it's pretty much done, look soon for a new contest voting poll to be up soon. Should be a hard vote IMO. Good luck to all !!
Awesome stuff guys...Im gonna go sharpen some pencils. I wish I had those art programs, but I know they are expensive.Hope to have something in for this month.
It's one thing to have them, it's another to know how to use them! I bought PhotoShop Elements when it was on sale at Best Buy for about 60 bucks. There are a ton of good tutorials on the net, I think that once I use it enough, I'll learn how to make some interesting artwork..
The thread is up guys, I had it all written out and well just didn't save it, man I'm cursed, lol. All of you and the visitors can drop into this thread
And add a vote for your favorite style or artists rendering. Here's to all having fun and a good time, Boo !!!

Well guys Late again but after all the effort I atleast wanted to share it with yall. Inspired by a matchbox trike I got at the flea market and a little sleepy h0llow tale.
Steel, I tried like crazy to hold out, even left in an extra day, I'm sure the guys will appreciate the effort and the art;I know I do. Very cool work BTW. I wish there was a way to edit the polling but I can't, my apologies.
