I have a 76 blazer two wheel drive and the trans started to slip bad in all drive gears... I changed the Modulator Valve and it made it better but still slipping... Goes in rev. really good but you put it in drive and it will start to role but as soon as i give it some gas it starts to slip... what else could it be?
Might try finding a good used Governor and put it in and see if it helps. If not, your tranny needs a rebuild. Usually when all forward gears slip and rev is good the tranny is cooked.

To lose all forward motion is a problem with the forward clutch pack usually.
Does the trans seem to hold power better from a full stop with the shifter in manual 1st gear?
