An adjustable proportioning valve and residual pressure valves on both ends (if not already in the master cylinder) at the minimum would be required. Run hard line from the engine to the booster with a short piece of 11/32" vacuum brake hose to make the connection to the booster. I would also add a guard to keep the bottom of the booster from hitting speedbumps etc. A brake light switch off the pedal could be added instead of an hydraulic unit.

There should only be a check valve in the master cylinder port that goes to an axle with drum brakes. Remove the line from the master cylinder and insert a probe (a small allen wrench will work). If the probe will only go into the center hole of the port an 1/4" or so, there is a check valve. If the probe will go in further, there is no valve. You need a 10lb valve for an axle with drum brakes (a 10lb is built into the master cylinder), and a 2lb for a disc brake axle, which you can add externally.

It looks like a good part, but I have not used that unit. I have used Kelsey-Hayes and Wilwood adjustable proportioning valves. It does not appear to have residual pressure check valves in it. You would still need a 10lb for drum brake axles, and a 2lb for disc brakes. It also appears that your hard lines are larger than 3/16". They likely are 1/4" dia. Adapters are available.

ok after reading up on it. I think I will go with the prop valve and the 10 in the back 2 in the front as seen here a first pic down http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/cho...lve-167394.html?highlight=proportioning+valve

But I then have to rethink the brake light switch. Any links or pics would really help me out. The stock doesnt come in contact with the new set up. Guess i could move it but its 50 some odd years old anyway.
Thanks Aosborn
