mr.chevelle It depends on a lot of things. How much throttle your giving it your gear size it is all controled by the pressure the trans is building up inside that is why it is so important to use a gauge to set the TV cable i know i tried it with out one on my first one and ruined it after a few hundred miles.Im not a machanic or know a whole lot about trans. So besure to listen to others over me.Since my first mistake i put another one in my chevelle and bought a gauge and have had no trouble since.Mine shifts out of first around 10MPH but im running 373 gears.I beleive the standered is around 18MPH but thats how i fried my first trans so go by the gauge
