32ratrods I have plenty of pics. I am still learning how to use this board so bear with me. Some of the mods include 2" chop went under the back window, removed the drip rails, self made firewall and floor. the hood has been pie cut from zero at the cowl to 1.5" at the nose. modified 1964 galaxie dash that wraps onto the doors. self made steel headliner to replace the cardboard insert. This is welded in place. The inner fenders have been altered to fit better along the frame rails. Self made bed that I designed to look like an original but slight modern touch. It is about 1.5" taller to help with the proportions of the truck. I have always thought the back of the cab was too tall from the top of the bed. Also the bed had self made led taillights that are flush mounted into the stake pockets. The tailgate sits into the bed rather than the factory method of being hinged behind the stake pocket. Also, in the stake pocket I have a bear claw style latch with hidden realese. I am detail orientated and like changes to look factory. When someone looks at this truck I want them to think "what is changed that makes this look so good".

New to board... Sharing some of my work

Over the weekend my air comppressor gave it up so in my searching for a replacement I stumbled upon this board. My name is Josh I live in Morris, Illinois I am building a street rod/ mild custom from a 1950 Chevy pickup. This truck I threw together as a driver back in 1999. Drove it for 20,000 mi. and got bored with it. So here I am with it torn back down. I have a huge interest in metal shaping. I attended metalmeet several times. I am equiped with a home made english wheel, planishing hammer, Pullmax p-7, 9" south bend lathe, enco table top mill, mig, tig, stick, torch sets.
