MARTINSR I'm thinking you are starting on this WAY too late! I have burned the midnight oil to finish my share of cars in the last days before a show but you are pushing it further than I ever did. To start PLANNING a change like that is really asking for trouble.

hotwheels1 If i am not mistaken, you may be able to use the rubber molding from a 1985 dodge truck. The windshield on these trucks were held in with a rubber molding. The truck windshield should be larger then the firebird windshield, so i would think it would give you plenty of extra for fitment.

1969NovaSS I only know of two ways to do this. One is to build up the channel with metal so you can have the factory glass sit flush. Or you can have custom over sized glass made to sit flush.

1970 Firebird, going to sema.

Hey guys need a little help here, our shop All Speed Performance is building a 1970 Firebird for this year at sema. The car is amazing turned out bad *** i will put some pictures up of the final product and the beginning product as well. However we are running into a problem because with our windshield and rear glass we want to eliminate the chrome molding that goes around it and replace it with a nice rubber molding instead to mka eit look a little cleaner, I have heard of it being done and seen some vehicles with it, however I have talked to a few glass companies and they are unable to help us. Does any one have any idea what we can do to pull this off The car leaves for vegas a week from wednesday so it is something that has to be fast yet nice. Please any one help!!!!
