Not my 1st rodeo but I want to make sure I do it right the 1st time because it's on my daughter's dime.
I have to use a little filler to fix some dings and low places on a 280zx. The metal is pretty thin. I have one spot filled and fairly even but I need a block sander that's flexible to get it right. What should I buy? Also, what should I use around the edges to feather in the filler to the metal? Also, what is the best spot putty? I used some on my 59 suburban 5 years ago and after only a few years the putty expanded and looks like bubbles in the paint.
Thanks guys.
One other thing, I have been shopping for durablock options but I'm clueless as to whether they are abrasive or if they require self adhesive pads. The websites do NOT say. I want to get everything I need in ONE order.
Thanks
Go to your local paint supplier and ask them if the have Motor Guard Holey Terror sanding blocks. The holes help to even distribute the pressure applied while sanding. The work great I have a bunch of them. They are made of two different density foams. They a blue and black in color they have a solid feel to them while sanding but are flexible enough for contours such as 73-79 ford truck center body line"dent side" Dura blocks require that you use sticky back board sander paper. Hope this helps you
