Carter 4761 To 4758 Swap On a Blower Engine

I've got 2 Carter Competition Series 500 CFM 4168's on my blown DeSoto Hemi. They run fine. However, when I start the engine cold, I have to slap the pedal, restart a couple of times, and hold the idle up until it starts to warm up. Neither carb has provisions for a choke. Once the engine is warmed up I don't need to touch the pedal, just turn the key and it starts right up and idles fine. I've scored a 4758 Carter Competition Series manual choke model 500 CFM...same carb as the 4761 only with a choke. Carbs are run Progressive, not straight. My question is could I convert the 4758 to electric choke and replace my Primary 4761 with it (or at least switch tops with the Primary 4761)? Does this sound like it would cure my cold start problem, or would I be sacrificing something or opening up a can of worms?...
