power steering pump for a pacer power rackinpinion

curious if a gm power steering pump will work fine with a 1978 pacer pwr steering rack, any help would be great

farna No GM rotors will interchange. You can take the Pacer rotors to a machine shop and they should be able to press the old studs out and drill the GM pattern between the old one, then press in new studs. I wouldn't try this myself -- the pattern must be perfectly concentric.

AMC Pacer parts

I was just on Autozone.com and they have alot of available parts listed for the Pacer frontend. Including a new manual Rack for 143.00 + 14.00 for a core charge!!! so according too that they are available. If not then checkout Blazer Auto or American Parts Depot.

matt167 the rack is the biggest issue with the Pacer front. it is no longer available. most everything else still is. and you might even find a diffrent rack that may work, but it won't be a bolt in.. if your rack works like it should, don't worry about it...

AMC Pacer IFS experts come in here please!!!!!!

Hey guys, newbie here with my first post! I am curently working on a small project with an AMC Pacer front end. After spending some time reading some of the threads here I noticed some of you guys have the same front end. I was hoping you could point me in the right direction as to where is the best place to find parts. I have been able to obtain a complete front end rebuild kit from Kantner Restorations. However I would also like to rebuild the calipers and replace the discs. I would also like to either replace or have the rack rebuilt. from what I have read, there is some interchangability between Ford, GM and Pacer. Is this true? If so what make and year would I ask for when oredering new parts? I would love to hear your solutions. Thanx guys I really apreciate your help. And please don't just say put a Mustang II in it.
