|big gear head||The Yukon Duragrip is a copy of the Eaton Posi. Eaton parts will interchange with the Duragrip parts. I've used Eaton parts in the Duragrip and I've used Duragrip parts in the Eaton.|

88 and prior is 26 spline. 1989 can be questionable.....Once you get to 1990 it will be 28 spline.

|runn141||i read in Chevy high performance that the 7.5 gm would hold up to 400hp before breaking. and that's why gm kept them in production for so long. Ive had 5 v8 s10's, I've yet to break one of those 7.5's.|

I've never seen or used the Yukon Duragrip. It appears to be very similar to the Eatons clutch style Posi. The fact that it is rebuildable and you can set up and adjust the clutchs clearance and spring preload is a big +.
Looks like another real good way to go.

|big gear head||Wheel hop will break even the best rear ends. I completely agree with that. As long as you only run street tires on this it will probably hold up all right. Don't use a mini spool on the street. Yukon makes a Duragrip that works very well, and it's rebuildable. This is a low cost differentail and it's much better than the Auburn.|

The 7.5" s-10/ Camaro rears are plenty strong for street duty when set up correctly and not already warn out from way too many miles. Never use a locking rear or spool in these 7.5" rears. The aftermarket Auburn limit slip is goof proof. So is the Eatons Posi. The best quality new gears for this rear end and all other GM rear ends are the genuine GM ring and pinions. You get these from a GM parts dealer. You get what you pay for. Some of the old 4 cylinder S-10's came with 4.10 gears. If you can find these in good used condition in the wreckers they are a premium higher quality HD gear set.
Get some Calvert Caltrac traction bars for your S-10 Wheel hop kills all driveline components fast.

ever see a white s 10 on cortez roadthat is tubbed.? Its my brothers truck.
He is in palma sola area near cortez. It has a firebird rear narrowed under it. Not the 9 inch ford I recommended, but it fit good after being cut and welded.Gear ratio was too tall for a turbo 350. Lots to consider when choosing a rear end. I guess he liked the disc brakes it had.The stock rear was trashed and not even close to being a performance unit,being a one wheel wonder to begin with(open rear).

|red65novawagon||If set up properly these rear end will handle quite a bit of abuse. First find a c-clip elminaters kit with aftermarket axles, use a solid pinion spacer, (the stock crush sleeve will collapse) and girdle cover. I have a friend that pulls the front wheels 2 feet in the air for 100' at the strip with a 355 on nitrous in a 86 I-ROC and runs low 11s.|
