So far leading the pack with reviews seems to be the Astro Evo.. But I've heard it's too slow for an all over. I'm not sure if this will apply to me. I've never DONE an all over.. So maybe it's only a concern for people used to faster guns.

The FL3, but I haven't actually heard many good things.

Same with the Finex. Looks good, but heard some bad things.

THe Binks SV100G is just over my budget, but I might be able to stretch it, if it's actually that much better of a gun. I only plan on painting 1 or two cars though.. 2 if I total this one, I guess.

I'm also curious about the bigger Astro guns. But nobody seems to use them, so I can't find much on them. The Euro Pros I mean.

I'm not dealing with finding a used Iwata or anything, so forget that.

Any other suggestions? I'd like to hear some first hand reports, obviously.

Thanks a lot guys!
What is wrong with a Finex? I have a couple Finex guns and they are great for the price, not an Iwata but far better than the chinaman guns I have tried.

SGW does have CAT prices on their website, just click on the links on a given page.

car was painted using PPG concept 2K and a Finex 300:

JohnnyK81 To those who have used an EVO, would a novice have a hard time doing a whole car with it? The other times I've painted was with another Purple type gun, so I was moving pretty fast.

angel85lx This is my view on the fl3 I would rather buy a purple hf gun. The fl3 is made in china you are really paying more for the name of devilbliss. I personaly don't like guns that have gaskets or rings I then to find the will wear out and get lost. I recently purchased a iwata airganza from coatairbrush for 99.99 they are Italian made and full cnc machine with not gaskets. And at first glance and feel they are well built and machined.

mafiacustomz my tcp 3 set works good for a starter set as i was told by 5 body shop owners and my paint store guy most of the $150 gun do better thin the $500 guns and most shops dont even buy the $500 spray guns

JohnnyK81 I know. That's why I'm not blowing $500 for 1 paint gun for 1 paint job.

But from all I've read, I've heard the Astro is a better spraying gun than the FL3.. I've just read it might be really slow?

Countilaw As a professional painter and body shop owner, I have found the Devilbiss Finishline 3 is an excellent gun with a 1.3 tip for base and clear.

An expensive gun does not a painter make!

JohnnyK81 I've also read decent things about the CAT guns, but SGW does not have a price listed.. Might be well over my budget, I'm not sure.
