i'm thinking unless your running a full blown race car u really don't need 7# of fuel pressure.. bringing it down to 4.5# should be more then enough.. your filling a bowl not fuel injection. and at 130gpm's thats a good size pump. your getting a little bleed by after u shut down and should not a problem while running, the ck valve is a little off in setting float level...

6 psi should be more than enough pressure, 7 psi is about the most a Holley type needle/seat/float assembly will handle without fuel getting blown past it.
Liquid-filled guages are notoriously sensitive to heat making them show a false pressure drop read low, I never trust them to read right warm. Once pressure is set cold there is really no reason it should change when warm.

fuel pressure issue help
Hi - first thanks for the info on my last post - i ended up removing 600vs for aed 650ho carb - was a good move improved in all areas - the issue now is fuel pressure - i tried to adjust regulator from 6psi to 7psi as aed requested and couldnt get anymore than 6.25 with a shakey gauge - will drop 2lbs as it warms at idle - also noticed fuel pressure not holding on gauge after shutdown- tried different regulator and gauge already - the carb came with a summit dual feed line with filter/gauge - checked filter (stone) and looked fine- the fuel pump is a ebey 130gph 1/4 inlet-outlet ebay special - im thinking this is culprit - any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.
