Not mocking, just what would the point of that be?
The point of an engine is to be simple in design but at the same time be powerful, just sounds to me like your making something redundent. My 2 cents.

|chevyguy||But what if you were to put this check valve behind the valve. Wouldn't that solve that part of the prob. So youd half to just run a cam that just closed during the compression stroke and opened just after words|

Problem with that is that it could never stand up to the explosion created in the combustion chamber, thats why valves have been the same for 100 years. The valves push down to open and pull shut upwards, when combustion happens it also forces agaist the valves and helps close them. Another idea was to use a butterfly valve in place of a std. valve in the heads, but the same problem, the combustion would ether blow the valve open, or just explode it right up into the head. Plus you cant have a butteryfly valve cause the combustion would blow out the seal on the butterfly rod.

Check valve engine?!?!?
Ok today I had a new idea. Just like in many two cylinder engines that been around and go extreme RPMS. Use check valves on the intake and exhuast ports, on 4 cylinder modern engines. This is my idea, have the check valve work, so that it makes a one way pipe, so when there is vacume into the engine it alows gas to go in, but at low speeds and there is building up pressure into the engine it wont alow it in. Have the same setup for the exhaust.
