is a sealer coat needed again?

Guys,
I got started on my paint job today but had some run problems. It was the first time I used my new Finishline gun and this is the first time I have tried painting a car. I sprayed my SPI epoxy primer all over the car as a sealer and have runs in three or 4 places. The bodywork looks great but the sealer has the runs and some orange peel. Can I just sand the runs out and wet sand the body with 400 or 600 grit then just base coat it without re-sealing it?

You say you put a coat of epoxy primer as a sealer. Primer is just that,a primer. There are separate sealers used before painting and although you can paint directly over a good primer, I would check with the topcoat directions to see if you should put a sealer coat on top of the primer before topcoating with the finish coat.
Also, when you sand out the runs, if you sand through to bare metal they must be primered again .

SPI epoxy primer is one of the best sealers on the market.
