Factory engineered 4 speaker stereo systems were available by the mid '60s. They may not have been standard equipment, but all the car companies offered them. My brother ordered a brand new '65 Dodge Coronet convertible that had a reverberator as part of the system he ordered with the car. My brand new '72 Dodge Charger came with a 4 speaker stereo system that even had a cassette deck with it.

DanTwoLakes You may have to take out the rear seat to get at it, but then it should come right out.

ericnova72 You'll have to cut the speaker holes yourself, as the trays come solid. Most cars from that era didn't have rear speakers, just the one in the front of the dash. Aftermarket speakers and stereo installations was a big business back then, that is where Pioneer, Alpine and Rockford-Fosgate made their names

DanTwoLakes Every speaker has it's own shape depending on what you decide to use, so I would think you'd want to cut out the holes for them yourself.
