Hey guys i have a question. I am currently sanding a car down with 400 grit. i am wet sanding because that is what i prefer. I have been using 3m wet or dry 400 grit sand paper with a 3m sponge block. my problem is it is frustrating the hell out of me because the paper keeps sliding off. I also have some 400 grit 6" stik disc. I used them wet and it seems to do fine if not better. My question is this ok or not.
I use my stick it discs all the time wet..... Maybe I'm doing it wrong but it works.
I've never actually BOUGHT wet/dry. But I'm also more of a "hobbyist" or "DIY" kinda guy and have yet to get that PERFECT outcome when re-finishing so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.
i don't see it causing any issues, I've used stick-on 320 pads for a da wet before with no problems. They make a spray or tube adhesive for making any type of sandpaper "stick". I've used to use it for situations like yours, but anymore I'll just use a stick-it disc on a block.
