oemfisystems Yes, it's different. We build them, among other things. The security system, which we do not provide a solution for, will be your big problem. If you do make the swap, 96-97 system are simpler, and the security system was not yet used then.

Harness and ECM ?

ok here is my problem I am wanting to upgrade my 350 vortec to a 454. My questions are do I need a new wiring harness for the 454 or will the 350's work? I need a ECM for the 454 but do I need any other electrical parts ? (I.E. more sensors) I have a 98 3/4 4X4.
