DanTwoLakes You can use plywood, metal, regular wood. Anything to hold the panels in the place you want them.

What do you generally use to make up the framework in the trunk?

DanTwoLakes PVC foamboard will work fine. I use 3MM thickness, which is about 1/8". You will need a framework of some kind to support it.

You cut it with regular woodworking tools or with a utility knife.

It comes in 4' by 8' sheets, so you probably won't need to glue it, but if you do, crazy glue works well. I have also had good luck gluing it together with foam to foam contact adhesive like K-Grip or K-Spray.

I was wondering when setting up a trunk for upholstery if that PCV FOAMBOARD would work the best, what thickness would be best to use? What glue would be the best if you have to glue a couple of panels together? How do you cut it?
