F-1Rodder Hate to tell you, you can't do what you are trying to do legally. In my state, if the car passes the exam, they don't look under the hood.

78 monte If the car didnt come w/ duel exhuast from the factory it is illegal to put duels on.You would have to buy the Y-pipe.Headers into Y-pipe into converter,out single pipe.These are the shorty headers right? I think every thing (headers,Y-pipe)also have to have a CARB #.I'd call your DMV about exactly what you can do. MONTE

Header set up

I am going to put hedman headers with AIR systems on my 78 El Camino and I am not sure how to complete the exhaust system. Do I put the headers on then after the collecter do I put a catalytic converter on each side or what?(I need to pass emissions tests=/) If you know anything about this can you please reply, any thing will help.
