F-BIRD'88 Set the valve lash cold at .014" in .016" ex.

Change the rockers to Scorpion.

The valvetrain will be noticiably quieter.

eloc431962 Your going to have the sewing machine effect with a solid cam and lifter setup. Sounds like you should have went with a hyd cam and lifters. IMHO

Want quieter rockers!

SBC 327 w. dart iron heads, street engine

I have a .590 lift solid roller cam with comp pro magnum rockers, they sound like a big sewing machine shssh, shshs, shssh etc. I dont wanna hear that drone.

Can I use non-roller long-slot rockers or do I have too much lift?

I use 1.25" diameter beehive springs ~350-380 lbs open pressure.

G.
