DanTwoLakes I just watched a video on YouTube with a guy from Moterz showing how to put the seat covers on an F-150. The guy didn't have a clue what he was doing, and the seat covers looked terrible.

Old Fool Hope they fit better than the seat covers Katskinz provides to the tv shows. No where near as good a fit a oem from what I have seen.
Took a look at youtube and the fit on the seats I saw were no better than what I saw on tv.
A lot of money for not top quality stuff.
Be glad you got yours for cheap!

DanTwoLakes Then you got a great deal, 'cuz their lowest price for two row seating in an Explorer on their web site is $1995.

You shouldn't have any trouble putting on the seat covers.

Runnin'OnEmpty Thanks for the reply Dan.
Wow, $1995?!!! No I got this kit off ebay a year or so ago.
The seller was a trim shop whose customer didn't show up
for installation, so I got a deal; paid about $350 if I recall.

The leather is soft and supple, but you're right, the seat backs
seem to be vinyl. I had considered having a shop install the
covers, but they are zippered instead of hog-ringed, so I thought
I'd give it a try. The stock covers are zippered too, so it'll be
zip off and zip on.....sounds easy....(famous last words)

DanTwoLakes I had never heard of Katzkin before, so I looked up their web site. They advertise leather trimmed seat covers, which I think means they are made like most OEM seats, which have leather in the seating areas and vinyl around the perimeters. I can't find any information on their web site as to the quality of the leather they use. Are they charging you $1995 for the front and rear seat covers?

Newer seat covers should be easy enough for you to install, you shouldn't have any problems.

Katzkin seat cover kit

Hi guys. Getting ready to install a set of Katzkin seat covers in
an Explorer Sport. They're leather, and I was wondering if anyone
knew anything about Katzkin?

This will be my most involved interior project so far.....any tips?

Thanks,
ROE
