Guage help

A guys I need help, I got an old coloumn cluster guage connected in a 84 olds. Not sure about the donor car. But the cluster mounts around steering wheel base. it has voltage on left then on right side it has temp and oil. All factory. All guages work except oil. The back has wires no oil tube to block. What gives? Who


Who made this cluster? How can I get oil to work? My engine is a lt1

Not too sure, but early 80 s chevy pickups use the 2 different gauges. Not sure wich ones but at least that is where I would start.
NAPA would be a good place to go, they could give you more specifics on the part itself, the Mc Parts guys dont have a lot of info like that, at least it seems that way.
The D 1829 looks like the unit, but then they are pretty much the same in appearance.I personnally dont know if that number is for the 60 pound gauge or the 80 pounder. Any body? :confused:

I'm not sure how you determined the D1829 part number ... but it does cross to a NAPA # UNI OP6640, which is fairly common ... quite likely correct for a GM oil guage. I'd try it. The worst that it will be is wrong. :D
