I have one of those and yes I use it for lotsa tasks. I also just acquired a bunch of pallet racking for storing stuff (in an effort to reduce my "trails around stuff/have to climb over stuff to get around in the shop" habits)

I have NO idea how I ever got along without it. Load stuff into/out of pickup, stack stuff, move stuff, pick up the garden tractor to service the blades, put new compressor pump onto the tank, etc.

Mine has a 5,000# capacity, and I paid $300.00 for it from a liquidation sale when a warehouse was closing

Cheap multi use lift

This is my hydraulic stacker that I use as a worktable, body lift, and for loading heavy stuff into my truck. I modified it by welding some square tubing to the forks, and I made some extensions out of smaller square tube. I can adjust the length of the forks or remove them to use it as an adjustable height table. The capacity is reduced the longer I extend the forks but its capacity is 1800 Lbs lifting straight up with the factory forks, so there is no problem lifting my coupe body, it also rolls very easily, and does'nt take up any more room than a small table when rolled up against a wall.
