matt167 The bellhousing is not the same. The new 5.0L in the Mustangs is a modified Modular motor. Essentially the Factory copied stroker kits for the 4.6L which have been out for a few years and added some new heads to make the new 5.0L.. C6 was never common in a SBF bell pattern ither, and the big bell pattern went away with the 460 after 1997

Siggy_Freud Not sure to be honest. Might ask over at the Mustang Forums (google it) as they have a sub-forum dedicated specifically to the 5.0.

To be honest, I would doubt if it's a direct bolt-in.

2011 5.0L Mustang Engine Question??

Does anyone know if the new 5.0L Mustang engines have the same bell housing bolt pattern as the older 5.0L engines from the "80's"?? I have a C6 Tranny that I would like to bolt up to this engine and I was wondering if it will work without any special adaptors. Thanks
