Dirtdolla Yes it ran fine before ....the vac advance studs broke on old one so had to replace ....do I need to adjust the springs that came on there with some other? With the larger cam do I need to do anything different from regular cam? Firing order is correct 18436572....what am I missing

Energi2DMax did you wire it up correctly the proper firing order that could cause problems and once it is good check timing like the post above me this could help you Firing Order

Good luck

Richiehd So did it run before? Sounds like you are a tooth off, retarded timing. Bring to TDC on your timing mark, make sure you are compression stroke. Set dist. in pointing to #1 ON THE CAP. Does this help any?
Before you pull dist out, you will see you are a tooth off. Pull dist and then you will have to geta long screwdriver and turn the oil pump shaft until dist. drops right in where you want it.
