1971BB427 Many aftermarket aluminum heads have 3/8" pipe thread holes for temp sensors. Mine do. The stock factory heads are 1/2" pipe thread.

Blazin72 I get a kick out of this thread. Pipe thread sizes seem to confuse everybody. It's funny.

Custom10 Should be 1/2" NPT, 3/8 NPT hole wont fit typical after market gage bulb and fitting

1/8 hole wont fit a 1/4 inch anything

Bryan59EC Nope---1/2" pipe thread

a 1/8" pipe thread is larger than a 1/4"

bracketeer there the same size as a heater hose nipple. i thought they were 3/4 inch
05-16-2012 06:58 PM
Bryan59EC 1/2 in or
3/8 if a small hole

a 3/4 pipe thread hole would be about an inch or more in diam.
