|67-4-fun||The probe pistons used for a 496 bbc have a 18cc dome, Not sure if they have the same cc for a 555.. Here is a cam that i like at least for the 496-505 bbc http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.a...62&gid=290..im sure this cam will be less aggressive in a 555 comparied to 496.. but still work very well as an aggressive street/strip cam.. and it is a solid roller|

|dav770431||haha i might sound stupid but i kinda have a 2k spending limit on the heads being as i went big on the block and i dont quite need anymore than 700 hp for the car im building. Ive heard the dart 325 or 245 pro 1's are good just trying to find out what else is out there.|

|35WINDOW||I'm building a similar engine, and am using and would recommend a set of AFR 315's-I would mill them so that you are running 10-10.5:1 Compression, add in a Cam in the 250-255 @ .050, and voila', instant 700 h.p. +-|

What's the volume in cc's for those piston domes?
And what do you mean by "...deck thickness is .210"???
Regardless of the compression height and the possibility the block has been cut, how far in the hole are the pistons?

dart bbc 555 build head choice
I just recently purchased a new big M 555 dart short block with scat forged crank, competition forged rods, and 2618 probe dome forged pistons. 4.560 bore with 4.250 stroke. 6.385 in rods. compression height is 1.270 in. dome height .110 and deck thickness is .210. I am just getting some input and suggestions on what heads i should use. It will be going in a street rod on pump gas that will occationally go down the track. I want the best heads that will flow a good amount of air. I will probably just run a single plane intake.
