The sad truth is the early smog era engines were weak, power-wise, from the factory. But once rebuilt to performance specs, they're as good as any 2-piece rear main seal type engine.

|lmar1171||Thanks DoubleVision 15b474835 as you prob seen this is the remix to another post.I have been told 1=chevy 5= 1975 b=balt plant but after reading up on the first gen chevy 350 1975 give poss for the ZQ3 or L48 and so on. 3970010 block was used alot told this came out of a vette?????THANKS|

Your right colbalt my mistake and it prob dont make a diff about L48 yada yada.
I just seen many ops for 75 and was told this engine came out of a vette.It was my first post and had a hard time naving through sight.I thank you for your first post on my first thread and my reply should have been so now that i know its a 350 chevy 1975 i was woundering was this a L48 or poss ZQ3.It prob dont make a diff but if it did how would i tell. THANKS again

Look on the passengers side front on the deck and get the suffix code then post it here. It will look something like this example
