with the 882 heads you are pretty much limited. I think you would be lucky if you were making 300hp. you have to remember that the heads you are using where used on 350 motors that where making 160hp. to double the hp that those heads were originally intended on making would seriously be doing something. I can't find the exact numbers but i dont think those heads where flowing more than around 180cfm @ .500" lift.
if you were willing to spend around 800.00 for a set of aftermarket vortec heads like the RHS pro torkers, I think your hp would go from around 280-300 up to around 350-360hp

Not more than 329hp. On a good day. and no torque.
The 882 heads along with the 462624 heads are the worst of the worst SBC heads.
You will see a huge increase in performance just by getting better cylinder heads.
+80 hp 1 whole sec et reduction, big MPH increase in the 1/4 mile after ditching these dogs.
Until you upgrade the 882 heads this motor is going to be a disappointment.

|zildjian4life218||Assuming they are stock smogger heads with 1.94x1.50 valves my guess is 330-350ish. What is the casting numbers on the heads?|

|DR132||~375 at the crank maybe? more info on the heads would be helpful but guessing doesn't really mean much. results are what matter|
