The tack welds on the bolt heads are not factory, looks like someone got in there and welded them because the original knurl under the bolt heads must have gotten stripped or the hole slightly egged out.
Sorry, but you have no choice but to pull the headers to remove the A-arm , unless you can get in there and grind that weld off with everything assembled.

Remove upper control arm - Bolts welded.
hey guys need some advice here.
1967 El Camino
I'm guessing that the upper control arms didn't come welded from the factory. How is the best way to go about removing the upper control arm? All four bolts (2 on each side) are welded in place. I really don't want to remove the headers to get the control arm off. Those were a real pain in the butt to get in place.
