Chemical rust stripping with acid/ alkaline/ phosphate

Select Motor Company Inc. ( 6205 Monroe Highway, Ball, Louisiana 71405, 800-716-9635 has an amazing process that includes: baking at 800 degrees in an oxygen deprived environment, dipping in acid followed by alkaline, then phosphate, then zinc, electroplating and primer. This may be a possibility for your Atlanta location.

Does anyone know where I can have the same process done closer to Florida?

Chevymon Its not 5 hours away its 10 hours, but the results are worth it. The acid strippers can't get the rust out of the seams because acid desolves the rust gradually on contact, and it can't get in the seams very well.

And there is always the fear of left over acid residue, or the oil that is put on to protect the bare metal, which is not too big a deal on a fender or door, but a whole body could be a job getting rid of.

The alternative is electrolytic derusting. It doesn't harm the metal at all, leaves it looking like shiny new metal, and pulls almost all of the rust out of the seams.

I have used both types of cleaning methods and had several items done at this facility at different times and always had excellent results, not even any handling damage. I think you have made a good decission, just think for a minute---what is it worth to safely get rid of all the paint, undercoating, sealers, and dirt on a body, not to mention the rust.

For anyone that can afford it, this is a big time saver and allows you to see everything that needs attention. This may sound like advertizement and maybe it is, from a satisfied customer.

Chemical stripping bushiness in the south

If any one can help it would greatly be appreciated! I live in GA and I am wanting to have my car shell dipped. I am very aware of everyone's different opinions on this matter and very familiar with the pros and cons that goes along with this process. With that being said, If anyone knows of any location within 5 hours of Atlanta. Please list the company's name and number. I have found a few around local, but they are not able to dip the shell, only panels.

Thanks in advance.
