Good place to start as a counter jumper, upwards and onwards, started my 9 to 5 job 30 years ago as a counter jumper then within 18 months I was on the road as a rep. Never looked back. Good luck to nick, hope it goes well.

|Dave57210||Get him some oxygen for when he has been surrounded all day by the gases given from half-cured plastic and rubber. Just going in to those places cannot be real good for your health - doing 8-10 hours in that environment.......|

I didn't do crap but Nick did. Today he went to his orientation at his new job at Harbor Freight. He got home, went to the machine shop and got his axle where they had pressed on the new bearing. He installed the axle and then went off to work in the Falcon for the first time. I am so proud of him.
Retail, if you haven't worked retail you don't know you are alive! I always say that when you go to work retail look at the hours the store is open when you walk through the door, and be ready to work those hours. Forget what they say, what you are being hired for, be ready to work all the hours on the door. He was suppose to work graveyard stocking shelves. He went to work tonight at 5 pm. I went by to see him there (without him seeing me understand) and he was manning the register! The hardest job in that building is the register! I can't wait until he gets home tonight and see how it went.

|cozwurth||Worked on dad's 57 today, got the front brake hoses replaced. No joy... still pulls to the right when first hitting the brakes...|

|Too Many Projects||The theory is there on the white/black stripe wire. If you run power to both sides of the fuse it SHOULD be live...|

I had to stare at it for a minute... then bam. Wow I bet somebody paid somebody to do that. I want to use the no-no smiley just once...

got a close look today with some of the wires removed for clarity..
it was a WTH moment when i saw the wiring to the fuses shown..
there are 2 issues there.. you can see one obvious one with the bottom fuse..
the white and black ringed wire seems to have had a thermal issue at the screw contact fuse block connection
that circuit is all controlled by the switch shown in the other images. note the burned contacts..
previous hacks had played whack a mole with the wiring connections to attempt to get the parking lights to work.. funny.. i wonder what they were thinking.. oh... i understand what they were thinking.. they must have been thinking that if i look buzy.. nobody will notice i don't have a CLUE of what i am doing.
the car owners face lit up when he walked by and i flashed him at least the parking lights on all 4 corners of the car.

|idrivejunk||Yeah I don't imagine repops for that are ultra-precise lol. Boy it sure needed a floor like a hog needs slop! On stuff like that, people are usually happy if nothing rubs. Hope the expectations stay reasonable for your fixes on it. Should make good metalwork pic fodder for the gang anyway!|

I put repro extensions on a '65 I rebuilt a couple years ago and they sucked too. I had to hog out the mounting holes in the fenders and pull them into the core support to match the undersized extensions...
I've been much more pleased with Dynacorn parts than Goodmark. Last winter I used AMD quarter skins on my Chevelle and was amazed how accurate they are !! NOBODY makes a trunk drop worth a damn yet tho...
Willys cab...just a couple pics to get started. I'll probably start a new thread in the projects forum. This is going to be a hair puller. The repro parts are merely a close simulation to the originals...
