Lthompson was able to tighten the cable some. But its also leaking out of the gear housing. I put it in there but i dont remember if the housing screws in or just slides in and the retaining fork thing keeps it in. Didnt want to try turning it to tighten and mess something up. What do i need to fix this? thanks

SSedan64 Yes, there's an inner Seal and outer O-ring.

Lthompson figured out most of my leak is coming from where the speedo cable screws on. its running down and dripping off where the tailshaft bolts on. Does the cable has some sort of o-ring i the plug or something to keep it from leaking there? i need a new one anyway. And the pan is still leaking around it too. And its leaking a little out the rear seal. But the worst is from the speedo cable

Crosley You might try 2 gaskets and some good adhesive on the tail housing to stop the leaks.

Welcome back, you have not posted in a while

The tail shaft housing on a T-400 has 6 bolts. Perhaps 2 are loose?
