Tee off at the carburetor inlet and run a 1/8" copper tubing line up to the cowl. Install a mechanical 0-15 psi fuel pressure gauge on the cowl so you can see it and monitor the fuel pressure through the windshield. I think you'll either find too little or too much pressure. This is just a wild guess based on experience, but I would think you'd want around 3 psi. A factory service manual will tell you for sure. You can get one from Faxon....

1942 willys sputtering?
i have a 1942 willys jeep that has a f head motor. i put in new points, new coil, new every thing but the engine. when i drive it down the highway it does good till you hit third gear it starts to sputter bad. any suggestions?
