Title for my 1955

I had this gentleman from Taylor , TX work on a Bonded title for my 55 chevy, he did everything for me we sent paper work to & from, even spoke to a lady at the Texas Motor vehicle Department in Austin, TX to be sure we had all the correct forms & paper work, had my car inspected by the local Police's Auto Theft Department, well to make a long story short I took all my paper work to get my title at the County Tax Accessor Collector of my county, only to get scolded by the office manager, saying why did we go out of the county to work a title for a car when we could count on our Tax Accessor Collector was a very fine & nice person & that thier department was so good at working with the county people have the same problems with titles, well she asked me to let the bond expire & to fill out some extra papers so her boss would not be lieable if anybody came forth & say they own my car, so I did all that& that I would be called for a Title Hearing, that was late August, 2013, it's Dec.24, 2013 & I still haven't been called for my Title Hearing, what should I do??

title info.

Titles are different for various states There is quite a bit of info here on Hotrodders in the WIKI at the top of the page/ search "how to title a hot rod", If you have a bill of sale some states will assign you a new vin sticker. other states will want you to crush it for scrap.
