MARTINSR Any reason is good enough for me, I LOVE road trips and it's been three years since I have taken one of my long ones, I hope I can do it this summer.

I say take off and take photos for us!

a good excuse for a road trip..... ;)

ok
as some of you may know.
i just installed a new 302 long block i bought from orielly's AKA checker autoparts.
and yesterday gave it it's 1st oil change after the break in period.
also i did some quick math.
i am getting 19.5 mpg in the city (lots an lotsa stoplights.)
and i am running a 500cfm holley 2 bbl carb
so..
now i simply HAVE to drive somewhere relatively far away.tto see what my hwy mpg is
i am thinking of going to farmington nm about 250 miles each way to visit my bro's in the BLACKTOP KREEPERS C.C.
this will be purely in the interest of the scientifical community you understand.
