MARTINSR Saw another couple of bands today that were just awesome. This one here was straight up rock and roll and I swear standing in the crowd nearby before I saw them I thought my God it could be the Doors over there, Jim Morrison is alive! The sound quality of my camera is not as good as live I'll tell you that. But it's still good, click on the photo.

MARTINSR This is one of the songs they did. I have heard it a thousand times and never "heard" it. This is an amazing song, check it out.

No Reply of The Beatles in video on Jukebox

"No Reply"

This happened once before
When I came to your door
No reply
They said it wasn't you
But I saw you peep through your window

I saw the lie, I saw the lie
I know that you saw me
As I looked up to see your face

I tried to telephone
They said you were not home
That's a lie
'Cause I know where you've been
I saw you walk in your door

I nearly died, I nearly died
Cause' you walked hand in hand
With another man in my place

If I were I'd realise that I
Love you more than any other guy
And I'll forgive the lies that I
Heard before when you gave me no reply

I've tried to telephone
They said you were not home
That's a lie
'Cause I know where you've been
I saw you walk in your door

I nearly died, I nearly died
'Cause you walked hand in hand
With another man in my place

MARTINSR I ran down to an art and wine festival here in town this morning as to not miss "The Two of us" a Lennon McCartney tribute acoustic act. They are from a larger band, shown here in the video "The Sun Kings". They are very good and I have seen them a few times. This video is not the show I saw today it was at a similar festival nearby. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB6lBrEmfWw

But today's show just the best way to spend a morning I have to tell you. What a great show, sitting out under a beautiful sky, listening to these two. I found myself years ago going to a tribute show and coming up with this crazy idea, make up a story in my head right now puts me in front of the real thing. I have experienced some amazing legends this way.....in my head. Today, I was walking through Central Park in New York in 1978 and came upon Paul who was there visiting John playing on their guitars to a surprised crowd gathering.

I could close my eyes and I was THERE in Central Park 1978.

Just a tiny video of them, damn they are good.

wretched ratchet OK, Alan, and anyone else of course - - - get you a liquid of your choice but be sure and sit down before listening so you don't spill it.

Every time I hear these young artists, I like them even more. If I was 40 years younger, well we won't go there. That Dawg House Bass player makes me shiver - - - what an awesome foundation she and the drummer lay down for this recording.

There's room for some cool diatonic 2nd fills if you're a mind to.

whinny I know you guys love ya grid iron but league is I think a tougher game. The league guys reckoned league was getting too soft so they started bring back the biff. Here's a sample. The background music is ok too.

I saw her when she was about 53 years old, the show starts with a large stair case that drops down from above the stage and she comes walking down it. I remember it was at that moment when I came up with my plan, that any woman who buys a pair of stiletto heels has to study a video of Tina walking in them so they do it properly.

When my oldest boy was about 2.5 years old I was pushing him in a stroller around a swap meet and I said "Whew it's hot". Joey twisted his neck around backwards looking up at me said "It's not hot daddy, Tina Turners hot."

No kidding!

Yep Joe, you're right, Tina Turners STILL hot.

Brian
I'm with you there, she was hot, this is from a promo she did in the 90s down under in Australia for the nrl league. Rugby league is real popular down here. My family grew up in league area. My Ny brother and I were pretty good. It's a tough game!!

Did you Know?

Most of us with a little calender time under our belts remember the Mega Instrumental Hit "Sleep Walk" by Santo and Johnny but did you know that there was also a Vocal Cover of this Classic Recording?
