4 hour work day for me at the shop. Used the time to do a valve body swap on a '01 Jetta 1.8t auto .... I successfully installed a transbrake on the car .... that however wasn't my intention.

Its in 2 gears at once in park, all other gears (R/N/D/2/1) are forward gears.... they all seam to be first gear.

I have it torn back down most of the way. Tuesday I'll actually get the VB back out and see whats up.... but part of me wants to take it out for a test drive the way it is just for the fun of it.

snow

Finally got my plow truck inspected, needed new steering damper, plate light, also spent a couple of hours cleaning the front end and painting it with chassis saver paint. Just snowed last night due to the latest nor-easter. never did get my snowplow on the truck. It should melt by this weekend I hope.

Pulled the old '71 Camaro out to run around the block and warm things up. Then tore into the '69 Suburban to fix a cracked T stat housing. Some bozo tried to modify it internally by chipping off the inside lip for the O ring seal. Had to replace it with a good one I had laying around.
Then put a gauge set in the Burb, and called it a day. Gotta get the Austin gasser out for a run tomorrow. Sounds like it might be cool and dry, so gotta drive every good day I can!

Cut out the exhaust in my caddy. Everything back from where the two sides of the manifolds come together is gone. Back of the Y pipe. I sort of mocked up the new exhaust. It is just a simple cheap system so I can get the car on the road. I am putting on a thrush glasspack and then a turndown in front of the rear wheel. At least that is my current plan. It is not a long term solution, but will get me through till I can put a real exhaust, preferably a dual exhaust system.

roller rockers on the "Acadian".

I tried full roller rockers but as mentioned no clearance so swithed with another small block I just built cause I wanted the period correct Vette covers over the normal chrome ones I had, was worth the Hp loss, not much around 3hp. Just did a quick video of it, kind of dark but not used to videos.

:D

Bought a couple more pieces for the exhaust for my 68 caddy. Working on a deal for a 74 coupe about 325 miles away on craigslist. I had to go a couple of towns over for work related training today, so not much is getting done today. Also coughing up mucus, so I just don't feel like working on the caddy. I want to, but just don't have much energy for it.
