twinpilot001 That code is likely covered with junk-it lies on usually upper pass side of axle tube.

big gear head That is the 8.5 GM corporate 10 bolt. There will be a code stamped into the right axle tube on the front side that will give you more information.

55 Chevy truck, help ID this rearend

Hello all, I have read through many of these forums and there are some smart people in here that really know their stuff. Lets see if anyone can assist me please. I have a 55 Chevy Truck and the rear end has the following information on it...GM22 1249518 (N) B02567. I have searched and searched and cant find any information to tell me what this rearend is. Thank you in advance for all help.
