DanTwoLakes I have a sight gauge like that on my Consew 255RB3. The only thing it is supposed to do is show you that there is oil in the system. Even if there isn't, you can still just oil the machine manually.

Juki 555 oil bubble

I bought a Juki 555-5 machine.

It has a plastic bubble on the top. I was told this is an oil sight gauge.

Am I supposed to see it splashing up in there like an old fashioned coffee percolator, or not?

I'm not seeing anything, so how would I know it is being lubricated?

It seems to run just fine, but I'm worried it isn't pumping the oil out of the pan.

Thanks.
