Hello everyone Iam new to the site, which by the way is pretty cool. I would like some instructions on installing a rumble seat. I have found a few pictures but no instructions. I realize I have have to cut the lower rain gutter for clearance, what goes in its place to keep water out? If anyone has a 35 with rumble seats, I would appreciate a picture of lower gutter area, I am sure Ford had this figured out. Thanks in advance for your help.
I do have the hinge kit.
My rumble seat is assembled and I am not able to take a current picture. I did go back through my build pictures to see what I could find and will post what I have. On a rumble seat car the gutter just curves around the back of the panel board and stops. The water that runs down and off the gutter drains out of holes in the floor. Not a great system. I have seen guys go to great lengths to design a better system but mine is pretty much like Henry built it. Sorry I don't have better pictures to offer you. If you have to fabricate this be sure it does not interfere with the deck lid when it opens.
Thanks John I appretiate your pics and response. I just stated Friday removing the old trunk lid, latches, etc. I am taking pictures as I go.
