u say u had a redy heater before. so u know how that works for u . as said don't use it when painting or cleaning parts very close to it.. Boooom.. but i have one thats bout 125k and use to get the garage warm in a few minutes.. bottom line for me is karo only.. no diesel fuel cause it really stinks.. i use an additive in the kero and smells ok.. doing regular work in garage, changing oil, brakes etc no problems..

|geezer69||them heaters do leave a oily film. i dont like um in a shop. always worrien bout that open flame.you only got to forget it one time and booooom!a feller just down the road from us was cleanin parts with gas. yep, boom. he got out but burned his shop and home plum down.|

I know many guys do it and get away with it, but myself I am paranoid that burning kerosene, diesel, stove oil ,etc will leave an oil film on my project and cause adhesion problems.
Good luck with whatever you do end up using, Happy New Year too!

I googled it&couldn't find much.As far as a woodstove I heat with one on my house&we used to have one down here in the shop before we rehabd the place&it worked good.My grandfather heated with only a woodstove for 30 years..So I'm 100% on adding it plus I split wood all through the year so I have plenty.
I've looked@a furnace out of a trailer&it seems like a good fit as I have a perfect for it to fit. Also wouldn't mind a outside wood furnace like a big chief...But for the moment need a new torpedo heater. So trying to find more info on this brand.Cause I've found out the hardware..good prices don't always mean good deals

Master ® torpedo heater?&..
Hey fellas do any if you guys know about Master® heaters?I had just got done block sanding my truck&went to turn on my reddy heater when it didn't want to start I took it apart to find a mouse nest.I thought I cleaned it all out but nope..started ran grid for a sec then it started burning I cut the power off&poured a small amount of water in it..(I know need a extinguisher getting one asap) well took it all apart cleaned&dryed everything&its like it's not even plugged in.Circuit board looks good so idk.
Well I found a master® brad 135000 btu multi fuel torpedo heater on managers special for 249.00 its the only one.Sears wants 460 something&walkmart 430+ so it sounds like a steal but I've never heard of them.Any of you guys have any experience with them?I need one asap.
My shop is insulated &well ventilated I work in the first half of shop&place it in the rear then 110 will get up to 80° when it's in the 20s but getting ready to add a wood stove.Sorry so long.Thanksq
