Being you are using the stock C4 components I would think using C4 shocks and matching the angle gives you the same as the Vette had, which is pretty nice. Of course your car is likely lighter than the Vette so that could be an issue but look into that. And an other thing, be sure you make it strong enough. Often people think because it's "just the shock" and not holding up the car or anything they make it a little light. That shock bracket has to withstand millions of positive and negative forces on it and it has to be strong enough to withstand this.

You need to make the shock mounts with the suspension at ride height for sure.
Measure the total travel of the shock and make the mount so there is about 2/3 of the total travel available for compression (bump) travel and 1/3 for extension (droop). I build the mounts as short as possible to reduce the leverage on the bracket, but not so short that you can't move the upper control arm for alignment. That will determine the shock angle. In the last C4 suspension I put in I built mounts that come over the top of the control arm so A-arm clearance wasn't an issue. That was a bit more involved than coming up from under the upper control arm on the outside face, but for this application I was using long coil-overs to gain travel, so it was necessary.

Front shock upper mount
I installed a c4 corvette suspension in my 39 packard i am wondering how to build my upper shock mount so it works right i have stock lower mount and front leaf spring i am not going to use coil overs right now is there a certain degree the shock should be set at di i build it with shock fully exstended and suspension hanging or at ride height thanks for any info
