|apemanbrownhole||ima go with what madtiki said...i only paid 700 tried 600 hundred but he wouldnt go that low. but ya i might just buy an after market panel..i got the trunk to close and it was sold to me tied down but i got that mother lover to close and latch lol. but thank you all for your suggestion...except scrapin it. its my first car and ima practice on it|

Sorry to tell ya, but that 1/4 is wasted! Sure, you can grind all the body filler off with a "mud Hog", but me personally would never have bought a late model car that hacked together. Who knows what other half assed things were done to it that are unseen. With that said, If you bought it to practice bodywork on and got the car for $500-$800 than you did OK. Your options are getting a 1/4 from a salvage yard. (You'll have to remove the outer from the inner using a special spot weld bit). Or get an aftermarket one for about $125-$250. (Depending on your contacts). Most important is to make sure the trunk pan isnt bent, and the gap from the deck lid to the 1/4 is good.
Good Luck whichever way you go.

|cruizin uncle bob||I say if your dead set on fixing, find a donor at a junkyard, cut or have them cut the rear qtr out for you, make sure they cut wider so you can fit, change the quarter, think after you remove the bondo you gonna find more damage than bondo should fix, course there are those out there that will cover up a multitude of sins with a gallon of filler which just ain't right.|

just drive it, maybe get the crud off it.. so it looks a little better..
but like said, it's a 22 y/o car.. the engine is worth more to the honda guys than the car is worth..
if you like the car, keep you eye out for another one..

The two previous posts offer good advice...but...better pictures would be advised. Really none of my business but, if you don't mind me asking, what's the mileage on the car, what's the interior like, what's the rest of the car like and the big question....what did you pay for the car. This information...and no offence intended...would help determine if the car is worth the sandpaper, filler, paint and time required to repair it to your liking.
Just trying to give advice that might save you time money and aggravation in the long run...always remember, no matter what you do, how much you spend or how much time you put into the car....when your done, it's still a 22 year old, 1991 Acura.

|deadbodyman||I wouldnt waste much time trying to fix whats there ,its probably got frame damage too...Parts for that car can be pretty cheap from a U pull it type yard...You'll probably need a bumper and a deck lid too...40.00 a panel|

Horrible bondo job..need help fixin plz
Ok so i bought a 91 acura legend,
the left rear panel was hit and it looks like the guy did the bondo job himself. Its cracking and flaking off..he sprayed this black gritty crap all over it to and looks and feels griity. i love the car and would like to fix the eye sore as best i can (better than he did). sorry if the pictures arent good. i took them at night. if you would like i can take better ones in the morning..i just need help with this
any suggestions, tips, ANYTHING HELPS!!!!
